BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The field and seedings have been set for the 2019 Mountain East Conference Men's Soccer Tournament.
For the sixth-straight year, the University of Charleston claimed the regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the tournament. The Golden Eagles posted a 15-0-1 record in conference play to finish with 46 points. UC has won five of six MEC Tournament titles.
Charleston will take on Urbana in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Welch Athletic Complex. Urbana is the No. 4 seed after finishing with 32 points in the regular season. The Golden Eagles were victorious in both regular season matchups this season.
Notre Dame locked up the No. 2 seed with 38 points on the strength of an 12-2-0 mark in conference play. Notre Dame, which posted a 7-0-1 record at home this season, will welcome third-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at Mueller Field. WVWC and Notre Dame split their two matchups this season this season.
The championship will be played on Sunday, Nov. 17, at the home site of the highest remaining seeded team.
