Three Golden Eagles Represent ALL-MEC Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. --  Concord swept the top honors from the Mountain East Conference as the league announced its annual women's soccer awards and all-conference teams. CU's Leah Foster was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Morgan Carmichael earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Rachel Bell was tabbed as the conference Freshman of the Year, and Luke Duffy was selected as the Coach of the Year.

Duffy was named the MEC Coach of the Year after leading Concord to its first South Division title. He's led the program to a 17-1 overall record (13-1) in MEC, surpassing the previous school record of 13 wins set back in 2002. The Mountain Lions are among the national leaders in scoring (3.67 per game) and the 66 goals are second-best in the country this year, while also allowing a goals against average of just 0.38. Additionally, Concord was ranked second in the most recent edition of the NCAA Atlantic Region rankings.

From Charleston, Madison Hansen was selected to the ALL-MEC First Team after starting in 17 games for the Golden Eagles. Hansen led the Charleston defenders with four goals on the season while providing very steady play on the defensive side of the ball as Charleston shut out opponents on six different occasions this season.

Keira Hill and Alana Mikulis were selected to the ALL-MEC Second Team as Forwards and Midfielders respectively. Hill led the Golden Eagles this season with 18 points (7 goals, 4 assists) while Mikulis, who started all 18 games for the Golden Eagles this season, produced three assists on the season.

The All-MEC teams are selected by a vote of the league's coaches.
