CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles secured the 3
rd seed in Super Region 1 of the Division II Men's Soccer Championship. With the seeding, the Golden Eagles are set to host 6
th seed Mercy on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Welch Athletic Complex.
Charleston comes into Saturday holding a 17-2-1 overall record and clinched the Mountain East Conference Tournament championship with a 4-0 win over the Falcons of Notre Dame College on Sunday afternoon. In two MEC Tournament games, the Golden Eagles held the opposition to zero shots on net while producing 16 of their own.

Freddy Tracey,
Williams N'Dah, and
Jordi Ramon.
The winner of Saturday afternoon's matchup will take on the winner of Gannon vs. West Chester/Assumption at the highest seed location the following week.
Last season, the Golden Eagles advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament before falling to West Chester University, the eventual runner-up of the 2018 tournament.
