Box Score CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles fell in their regular season finale to the Fairmont State Falcons. After 90 minutes the score was set at 0-0, forcing overtime, where the Falcons scored the game-ending goal with 2:59 to play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The two teams were deadlocked in the first half, as the score remained 0-0 heading into the break. Charleston out shot their opponents 4-1 in the first 45 minutes of play as Fairmont's Taylor Kennedy reigned in a save in the half.
The Falcons held the 3-2 advantage on corners noting back-to-back attempts late in the half.
After 90 minutes of play the Golden Eagles out shot the visitors 8-3 with
Shannon Henson nearly snagging the game winner in the final minute of play as her shot flew just over the crossbar.
Regulation ended with the score tied 0-0 sending the game into overtime for the Golden Eagles for only the second time this season. Just over seven minutes into the first overtime period, Cameron Ciresi slid the ball by the
Kaylee Hensley for the golden goal.
UP NEXT
The Golden Eagles sit in third place in the Mountain East Conference Southern Division and will compete in the Mountain East Conference Tournament with the bracket released later in the week.
