PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The University of Charleston Golden Eagles Men's Soccer team is once again the NCAA Division II National Champions after the 2-0 blanking of the Cal State LA Golden Eagles. Charleston was led by senior forward, Freddy Tracey who notched both goals in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles are taking home their second National Championship in two years under head coach, Dan Stratford. This is the University's second National Championship in history for the University of Charleston.
Ten minutes into the first half, Freddy Tracey pressed the LA goalkeeper, gathering a loose ball, and finishing for the early 1-0 lead.
In the second half the teams battled for 30 minutes, before in the 75th minute Jesus Cabana's played the ball across the box where it once again met the foot of Tracey for the second goal of the game.
Charleston controlled the game for the final 15 minutes of play to come away with the Championship. Senior goalkeeper Alvaro Unanua Dean made key saves, as Cal State notched six shots on goal.
