ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Charleston followed Sunday's sweep of Milersville with another sweep on Monday afternoon, this time taking down Winona State University, 7-0.
Regina Lopez-Saucedo and Meggan William clinched the doubles point for UC as the Golden Eagles took two of three doubles courts to take a 1-0 lead into singles plat with the Warriors.  Lopez-Saucedo was first off the court in singles, taking down Faith Young at No. 5 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0.  Silvana Slusarciuc was off the court next while fellow senior Elise Edwards provided the match clinching victory at No. 3 singles, defeating Kaisey Skibba in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4.
Just for good measure, Charleston got wins from Kristine Gegeshidze, Katie Swann and Mathilde Simon to make it a 7-0 sweep of the Warriors. Â Swann and Simon gutted out three-set wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles.
