ORLANDO, Fla - The Golden Eagle women's tennis team got their Spring Break started with a 7-0 drubbing of regional opponent Millersville University on Sunday afternoon as part of Spring Break Tennis.
Charleston gave up three games total between three doubles matches to take the doubles point and put UC up 1-0 heading into singles play.  Elise Edwards and Silvana Slusarciuc blanked their Marauder opponents 6-0 to lead the way.
Edwards back up her doubles play with a 6-0, 6-0 route in her No. 3 singles match as Charleston went on to win each match in straight sets over Millersville and secure a 7-0 sweep in their first match of Spring Break.
The Golden Eagles return to the court on Monday afternoon to take on Winona State University.
