ORLANDO, Fla. -- Charleston women's tennis ended their Spring Break trip with a 5-2 loss to Texas A&M University Kingsville on Thursday afternoon, finishing their week in Florida with a 3-2 overall record.
The Javelinas took the doubles point despite Charleston earning a win at No. 1 doubles from Kristine Gegeshidze and Katie Swann as play moved to singles.  UC's top two players, Gegeshidze and Elise Edwards, picked up straight set victories to give Charleston a pair of points but Kingsville swept courts three through six to earn the 5-2 victory over the Golden Eagles.
UC takes a week off to recover from their trip south before moving into MEC play with a trip to Fairmont State next Friday to take on the Falcons.
