SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Golden Eagles women's tennis put the finishing touches on their 2018-19 MEC regular season with a 5-0 sweep of Shepherd University late Friday evening.

Charleston goes to 7-1 in Mountain East Conference action to earn at least a share of the regular season title.  UC holds the No. 2 spot in the NCAA DII Women's Tennis Atlantic Region rankings and is 49th in the Oracle/ITA DII Women's Tennis Rankings release earlier this week.  

The Golden Eagles wrap their regular season with a tough Atlantic Region match against West Chester University on Saturday afternoon before preparing for the 2019 MEC Women's Tennis Championships next week.  The tournament returns to Huntington, W.Va. on the campus of Marshall University from May 1 - 3.
