HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Golden Eagle women's tennis made the short trip west to take on NCAA Division I Marshall University on Tuesday afternoon and suffered the first setback since March 14, falling to the Herd 7-0 at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center.
Charleston had reeled off five straight victories before traveling to Huntington. Â Marshall quickly took command of the match with convincing wins at the top two doubles spots to claim the first point. Â The Herd carried its momemtum from doubles play into the singles portion of the contest, taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
UC gets back to Mountain East Conference play on Thursday as they travel to Fairmont State University. Â First serve with the Falcons is set for 1:00 p.m.
