ORLANDO, FL – The University of Charleston women's tennis team came out in Thursday's match against Hampton University where the Golden Eagles swept the day taking the victory 7-0. 
 
Charleston was able to take the first point of the day as they were victorious in doubles play. Katie Swann and Haarini Balakrishnan finished first on the day taking the match 6-0. The second match to finish was Meggan William and Charlotte Ziegler. They were able to take their match by a score of 6-2. The final doubles match of the day finished with a 7-6 victory from Prinkle Singh and Mathilde Simon. They squeaked out a victory to help their team gain the doubles point. 
 
Haarini Balakrishnan started the Golden Eagles off with a 6-2, 6-2 victory to get Charleston rolling. Wins by Mikenzie Hindenlang (6-2, 6-3), Prinkle Singh (6-0, 6-2), Mathilde Simon (6-3, 6-3), Charlotte Ziegler (6-4, 6-2) and Katie Swann (6-3, 6-1) sealed the deal for the Golden Eagles as they swept the Pirates 7-0.
