Box Score CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The Golden Eagles continued their undefeated home stand with a 91-50 victory over the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. The Golden Eagles were led by Erykah Russell who posted 23 points in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Charleston opened up the scoring in the first frame with a bucket from senior forward Erykah Russell The Bobcats stayed within a point of the Golden Eagles the whole first frame, eventually tying the game up 11-11. With just seconds left on the clock Brooklyn Pannell launched the ball from half court to give Charleston the 14-11 lead at the buzzer.
The Golden Eagles opened the second quarter with a 14-4 run over the Bobcats to take the 28-15 lead with just over four minutes to play in the quarter. The Charleston offense continued to surge through the remaining four minutes to give Charleston a comforable 38-24 lead heading into the break.
Charleston was led by Pannell with 17 points in the effort. Both teams shot roughly 41 percent from the field.
Charleston came out of the intermission going on a 13-0 run to take the 51-24 lead with just over five minutes to play in the third frame. After a scoreless 2 minutes, Charleston's Abby Lee knocked down a three for the 56-26 lead. A pair of buckets on back-to-back possessions for the Bobcats brought WVWC within 16 of the hosts. Just before the under-five media Symphonie Bryan-Brown knocked down a three for Wesleyan to bring the score to 56-33.
Charleston extended the lead in the final minute after Haley Moore picked off a pass, and took it all the way on the fast break. Sophomore guard Dakota Reeves was fouled shooting Charleston second buzzer beater of the game, making the shot and converting from the stripe. The Golden Eagles entered the fourth quarter with a 62-33 lead over Wesleyan.
Sophomore guard, Trinity Palacio started the scoring for Charleston with a pull up jumper for the 72-27 lead. Charleston's offense continued to dominate, as the Golden Eagles held a 87-43 lead with just under four minutes in the contest. The Golden Eagles remain unbeaten with the 91-50 victory.
