The Golden Eagles were led offensively by Brooklyn Pannell, who finished the game with 26 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds, and Erykah Russell who finished the game with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game started out as a defensive dogfight through the first 5 minutes, the score was 6-5 before any team could pull away. In the next 5 minutes the Golden Eagles took the lead 15-5. Charleston finished the quarter with a 26-11 lead over the Fighting Falcons and headed into the second quarter with some momentum.
The Golden Eagles continued their hot streak to prevent the Fighting Falcons from going on a run. Both teams were able to put 23 points on the board, along with shooting above 40% from the field in the second quarter. The Golden Eagles shot a perfect 3-3 (100%) from the foul line while Fairmont State shot just 3-6 (50%) at the stripe.
Coming out in the third quarter, Fairmont put together a 6-0 run to begin the half. Back-to-back steals from Pannell helped secure a large lead for the Golden Eagles. Charleston then earned a trip to the free-throw line and continued their dominance from there to end the quarter with an 82-46 lead.
The Golden Eagles tacked on 17 points in the fourth quarter to finish out a well-rounded night on the hardwood. Charleston's momentum led them to a 99-66 victory on a very productive night in Fairmont, West Virginia.
