HOW IT HAPPENED:
In their first ever meeting, the Golden Eagles got on the board Charleston got on the board in the 10th minute of the game after Rachel Osborne found the back of the net. Shortly after, Charleston answered the call once again on a goal from Sydney Cavender who scored off the touch from Katy O'Reilly.

As the half continued, the defensive effort on both ends picked up, as a physical game from both teams and limited fouls allowed for a back-and-forth pace to end out the first half. Charleston took a 2-0 lead into the break.

To begin the second half, Charleston turned to Carol Burgess to handle the goalkeeping duties, replacing Kaylee Hensley who faced zero shots on goal in the first frame.

Six minutes into the second half, Kassandra Demps scored her second goal of the season off a touch from Osborne to extend the UC lead to 3-0 and end the offense for the night.

For the remainder of the half, both teams continued their physical style of play on the defensive end, but Charleston got the best of the Yellow Jackets as the game would end 3-0 in favor of the Golden Eagles.
