Led by veteran receiver Tyreik McAllister's two scores and his game-high 109 yards, UC racked up 424 total yards and delivered dynamic defense, limiting the Pioneers to just 67 on the afternoon.

After Glenville State faltered on its opening drive, the Golden Eagles used a series of runs, including a pair from McAllister, to reach the Glenville 12 before dispatching sophomore Tim McCutchen to get on the board courtesy of a field goal.

UC used just eight plays on its next drive to find the end zone, as senior play caller Guy Myers rushed for 33 yards himself, coasting 23 yards on the final play, to put the Golden Eagles up 10-0.

UC continued to pressure and widen the gap after redshirt junior defensive back Ryan Perry picked up his second career interception, a pick-6 to give the Golden Eagles a 17-0 advantage.

Another McCutchen field goal opened up the second frame, increasing the Golden Eagles' lead to 20-0. ,

The very next UC possession, with 10:38 to go in the quarter, McAllister broke loose, dashing 45 yards on the opening play for a swift, 15-second scoring drive to put the Golden Eagles up 26-0 to close out the half.

It took seven minutes into the second half for the UC offense to ignite once more, and the hero was again McAllister, who trotted 27 yards after a Myers rush for 18 set him up. The very next possession for the Golden Eagles was also rewarding, as rookie quarterback Davis Black saw some action and redshirt sophomore running back Josh Brown delivered a one-yard gain to boost UC to 39-0.

The final score of the afternoon came on a Black connection to redshirt junior Phillip Fleshman to begin the fourth quarter.

McCoy tallied four receptions and 67 total yards, Fleshman finished with 77 yards, and the duo of Myers (104) and Black (31) combined for 135 passing. Defensively, sophomore Keon Freeman led the way with six tackles.

The Golden Eagles return to the gridiron Saturday March 27, hosting UNC Pembroke with a noon kickoff. The Braves are 2-0, most recently downing UC's county rival West Virginia State 48-21 Saturday.
