CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- The University of Charleston Women's Tennis team defeated Frostburg State University on Sunday afternoon at Schoenbaum Courts, winning the match 7-0. The team rotated the starting lineup for today's match but that didn't stop Charleston from jumping out to a quick start by winning the doubles point over Frostburg State winning 1st and 2nd and 3rd doubles. #1 doubles Lif/Balakrishnan, #2 doubles Montero/William and #3 doubles Hindenlang/Reed all took control of their matches winning 6-0 at all three spots.
In singles, the team quickly secured the match with wins by Drouin (6-0, 6-0), Lif (6-1, 6-1) and Hindenlang (6-0 6-0) at first, second and third singles respectively. #6 singles, Reed, made her first appearance of the season winning (6-1, 6-0). Also make her first singles appearance of the season was #5 Alvarez who took control of the match early on to win (6-1, 6-2). Finally, UC got the 7th point of the match winning at #4 singles. Saucedo won (6-3, 6-1)
With the win UC go to 2-0 in Conference matches and 4-0 in regional matches.
