CHARLESTON, W. Va.– The University of Charleston Golden Eagles Men's soccer team clinched the regular season Mountain East Conference title with their 11-1 routing of the Concord University Mountain Lions on Friday night.

TEAM RECORDS: Golden Eagles (7-0-0, 7-0-0 MEC), Concord (2-5-0, 2-4-0 MEC) 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
The Golden Eagles came out hot scoring in the first 90 seconds of the match as Gabriel Rodriguez finished a ball played in by Christos Charalambous. The Mountain Lions tied the game up 1-1 in the 11th minute as Ricardo Chinea found the back of the net, but the Golden Eagles reclaimed their lead three minutes later and never looked back heading into the break with an 8-1 lead over the visitors.  

Charleston was led in the first half by Eduardo Iranzo and Eduardo Barros who tallied two goals apiece in the first half.  

Charleston tallied three more goals in the second half as Rodriguez and Burchell tallied their second goals of the match.  

Charleston outshot their opponents 21-1, putting 12 shots on goal, and held a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.  

Seven Golden Eagles found the net on the day accounting for all 11 goals.
