CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Women's Tennis team moved on to the MEC Championship with a 4-0 win over West Liberty on Saturday afternoon. After clinching the 4^th point, the match was concluded as the top two seeds in the tournament moved on to the Sunday finale.
 
The Golden Eagles clinched the doubles point over the Hilltoppers as the #2 pairing of Katie Swann and AlexiAnn Drouin defeated Aguedelo/Ponti in a thrilling 7-5 match. Heading to singles, the Golden Eagles won three consecutive draws to clinch the match 4-0.
 
After Barbera Balancho defeated Agarwal 6-1, 6-1, Haarini Balakrishnan made quick work on Agudelo, defeating the opposition 6-0, 6-3. It was Mathilde Simon who ended the day for Charleston, defeating Ponti 6-1, 6-1.
 
Prinkle Singh (#1), AlexiAnn Drouin (#2), and Julia Lif (#5) were all on their way to clinching points for their team before the match concluded.
