How it Happened:
UC got off to a great start, clinching the doubles point to go 1-0 up with Prinkle Singh/Haarini Balakrishnan winning 6-2 and Meggan William/AlexiAnn Drouin winning 6-4.

The upperclassmen showed their experience with Prinkle Singh winning 6-4, 6-4 and AlexiAnn Drouin winning 6-1, 6-4. However, the Railsplitters were able to capture wins on the 4 remaining singles courts, courts 2,4,5, ad 6.

How it Happened:
Hoping to bounce back from yesterday's defeat, the doubles pairings of Prinkle Singh/Haarini Balashrishnaan and Meggan William/AlexiiAnn Drouin put the Golden Eagles up 1-0 by clinching the doubles point. This win puts both pairings at 2-0 on the season.

Carrying this momentum into singes play, Haarini Balakrishnaan was quick to put another point on the board winning 6-2, 6-0 against Emilie Hansen. Despite fighting back from 4-1 down in the first set, Meggan William fell in straight sets 7-5 6-1. At the number 1 line, Prinkle Singh competed at a high level throughout, defeating Elodie Baecheler 6-4, 6-4. It was Barbara Balanho who would come through with the clinch at the no. 4 line, defeating the Pioneer's Tabitha Howe 6-1, 6-1 in a business like fashion. Finally, AlexiAnn Drouin fought hard after dropping the first set 6-1 to win the remaining two 6-0 and 6-4 respectively.
