HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Eagles, who took a win from the Bobcats less than a week ago on Wednesday February 9, took another win from Wesleyan, this time outscoring the host by 53 points. The win would mark the largest of the season as they went on to make 13 shots from beyond the arc in the contest.

Dakota Reeves tallied 24 of UC's 90 points making eight of her 17 attempts from downtown. For Dakota, who is currently second on the team in ppg, it would be her third highest point total of the season.

Markyia McCormick, the Junior from Canal Winchester, made just two of her 10 attempts from the field but knocked down all eight shots from the line to bring her total to 13 for the night.

Charleston outscored the Bobcats in the first quarter 25-6 and would continue to dominate from then on.

Trinity Palacio, who has played the most minutes of any Golden Eagle throughout the season, ended the night with 10 points and four assists.

Clarrissa Francis also returned to the squad on Monday, tallying 10 points and 8 rebounds in just 16 minutes on the floor.

The nature of the game allowed the Golden Eagles to get some bench players like Jamia Nesmith, Anna Cardwell, Camryn Nadir, and Shamia Bridges well earned minutes on the court. Nakiya Ferguson tallied seven points in her 5 minutes of action going a perfect 3-3 from the field with one shot coming from beyond the arc.

UC ended the contest shooting 41.4% from the field and 37.1% from three-point land.
