Huntington, W.Va.- Women's Tennis loses 6-1 to DI opponent Radford, Drouin takes a win on court 2 for UC.

How it Happened:
Barbara Balancho and Harriet Glaves were tied at 6-6 in doubles with their opponents, but eventually fell 7-5 in the tiebreak. It was Radford who would clinch the doubles point to go 1-0 heading into singles.
AlexiAnn Drouin put up a gritty performance in singles. Despite dropping her first set 6-1, she went onto win the next two sets 6-4 6-4. This win put her at 3-0 on the season in singles play, as well as tallying a point for UC in the match.
Haarini Balakrishnaan also competed well, pushing her opponent in the second set, before eventually dropping it 7-6 (6).
UC would lose to Radford 6-1 but showed grit on multiple courts.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles Harriet Glaves and Emilia Alarez paired up for the first time this season, gaining two games against their Marshall opponents before eventually falling 6-2. The Golden Eagles would go on to lose the double point after falling to the Herd on all three courts.
In singles, Harriet Glaves, a freshman, pushed her opponent the entire match. She was neck-and-neck with Rieke Gillar (MU) through both sets but would eventually drop the match 7-5 6-4.
