Charleston, W. Va. - The UC women's tennis team took down Bluefield State on Monday evening at the Schoenbaum courts.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles were up 1-0 after doubles play, earning wins at all three lines. The new pairing of Katie Swann and Harriet Glaves won 6-4. Prinkle Singh and Haarini Balakrishnaan cruised to a 6-1 victory, extending their winning streak to 9-0 versus DII opponents this season.
Taking this momentum into singles, the upperclassmen continued to shine. Prinkle Singh gained another convincing victory at the number 1 line, 6-3, 6-1. AlexiAnn Drouin rallied back and forth, before defeating Virginia Zanotti 6-2, 6-1.
With the score at 3-0, all eyes were on Harriet Glaves, who came through with the clinch for the Golden Eagles, competing at the number 4 line for the first time this season. Glaves defeated the Big Blue's Paula Saez-Raez 6-2, 6-1 to secure the match.
Seniors Haarini Balkrishnaan and Regina Saucedo also competed very hard versus tough opponents. Both girls gained victories at the number 3 and 6 lines respectively.
