Charleston, WV – The University of Charleston Women's Basketball squad has acquired a new assistant coach in Miracle Gray, a previous graduate assistant at Union University in Jackson, TN. 
 
After graduating, Gray spent two years as a graduate assistant gaining knowledge and experience to put herself in a position that she now finds herself in with the Golden Eagles, a squad that is still awaiting the arrival of their MEC title rings from the previous 2021-2022 season.  
 
Gray started her playing career at Purdue University and contributed playing time in 33 of 34 contests as a sophomore. She then transferred to Union and finished out her two years of eligibility for the Bulldogs. 
 
Head coach Tianni Kelly has nothing but high remarks for the Union University alum who is bringing quite the resume to Charleston. 
 
"I am extremely excited to announce Miracle Gray as the newest addition to our Golden Eagle Family. Miracle is without a doubt a winner and a champion. She has won throughout her entire basketball career, from a high school state championship to multiple championships in her collegiate career, to most recently being an assistant on the #5 ranked team in the nation."
 
Gray talks about the family that she has been welcomed into and how she is very optimistic for seasons to come. 
 
"I am super excited to be a part of such a prestigious program, with the Golden Eagle family. It is rare to have the opportunity to be in a family and be able to win championships. I am looking forward to pushing the program in a winning direction and for this journey!"
 
The Golden Eagles will open up their season on November 11^th as they take on Mercyhurst University as the host in the MEC/PSAC Conference Challenge.
