How it Happened
The Golden Knights would have their way in the first half, as they would disallow any shots from the Golden Eagles on their own field. On six shots in the half, the Golden Knights would capitalize with a shot in the 6^thminute of play as Logan Nicklas would send her shot into the top left corner for the first goal of the match. This would be the first half all season that the Golden Eagles wouldn't find at least one shot in the first 45 minutes. Gannon would take the 1-0 lead into the locker room. 
 
The Golden Knights would give Charleston the largest deficit they've faced this season after a goal in the 58^thminute of play as Brooklyn Respecki would send a rocket of a ball into the top right corner out of Jordan Maynard's reach for the 2-0 lead. 
 
Cassidy Collins would get Charleston on the board with a shot right in front of the net after receiving a great pass from Carina Widauer to cut the lead in half. The Golden Knights would regain their insurance goal with another beautiful shot from Logan Nicklas. With too little time left, the Golden Knights would hand Charleston their first loss of the season and end their historic year.
