Frostburg, MD – The Golden Eagles went into Bobcat Arena on Wednesday night fresh off a large 86-63 win over Emory & Henry, while the Bobcats looked to extend their win streak to three games after two road victories over Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan a week ago.

How it Happened
In the first quarter, the Golden Eagles were able to go basket for basket with the Bobcats, working their way to an 8-6 lead midway through the quarter after a layup from underneath by Jamia Nesmith. The Bobcats would work their way into the lead and go on a 19-7 run to end the quarter with the 25-15 lead over Charleston. The first half would display struggles for Charleston shooting from beyond the arc, while Frostburg State would find their points inside the perimeter with a 47% shooting percentage. The offense would slow down in the second quarter for both sides, with only 22 combined points for the two teams. After a late jumper from Alanna Tate with seconds left in the half, the Bobcats would take a 35-27 lead into the locker room for the halftime break.
The Golden Eagles would shoot 32% in the second half in their attempt to regain the lead over Frostburg State, but the Bobcats would have a phenomenal third quarter scoring 22 points on a 56% shooting percentage and draining 3-4 shots from three-point land. Charleston finished the night shooting 30% from the field and 10% from beyond the arc. Frostburg State's Emilee Weakley would contribute immensely throughout the night with a 40-point performance, with her team shooting 37% inside the arc. The Bobcats would find their third consecutive win with their 71-57 victory over Charleston.
