Women's Tennis Picks Up Two Road Wins This Past Weekend

Harrogate, Tenn. – The Charleston women's tennis program picked up two wins this weekend over Tusculum and Lincoln Memorial.
 
The Basics:
Location: LMU Tennis Complex
Score: UC 4, TU 3
Records: UC 5-0, 2-2
 
How it Happened:
The women's tennis team remained undefeated in Division 2 play with a narrow win over Tusculum University. Charleston took the doubles point quickly with wins at first doubles (Krasikova/ Larsson) and third doubles (Glaves/ Balancho). Second doubles was not finished because the doubles point was already decided.
 
Larsson put the Golden Eagles up 2-0 with a win at fourth singles. The Pioneers then tied up the match with wins at second and sixth singles. Nationally ranked Prinkle Singh put Charleston ahead with a win at first singles. It was Freshman Alyssa Cameron who clinched the match for Charleston with a win at third singles.
 
Captain Prinkle Singh said "Today was a really good team win. Six girls won matches today. We were all there for each other."

How it Happened:
Charleston women's tennis team cruised to a 6–1 victory over Lincoln Memorial.
 
Cameron and Singh clinch the doubles point for the Golden Eagles.
 
In singles, the Golden Eagles, dominated with wins at first, second third fourth fifth and sixth singles. Alyssa Cameron, clinched the match for the Charleston with a convincing 6–1, 6–0 win at number four singles.
 
Alec Foote said "Our women are gaining more and more confidence with each match. I was proud of them for the win today. It can be easy to let down after winning the day before but we didn't let down for a moment."
 
Up Next:
Charleston will host Lenior-Rhyne on Sunday, February 19th at 1PM. Location is to be determined weather pending.
