Charleston 7 Frostburg State 0
Charleston clinched the conference championship with a Senior Day Sweep of Frostburg State. Senior Prinkle Singh won in both singles and doubles giving her a career record of 73-10 in singles and 59-16 in doubles. Meli Alvarez also had a stellar Senior Day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at 6th singles.
Charleston fought hard to win the doubles point. Glaves and Balancho had a quick win at 3rd doubles with a score of 6-0. The other match needed to take the doubles point would prove more difficult. Eventually Cameron and Singh won at 1st Doubles (7-5) and Krasikova and Hondlashvilli won at 2nd (7-6).
With the momentum now in moving in Charleston's direction, the ladies made quick work of Bobcats without dropping a set in route to a 7-0 sweep.
Next up for the women is the conference tournament where they will be the first seed.
"These ladies capped a great conference season today. It is incredible that they only lost one conference match this year," said assistant coach Matt Santen.
