Sunset Beach, NC – The Golden Eagles hit the road this past weekend to compete in the Sea Trail Spring Golf Tournament hosted by the Golden Knights of Gannon University. This would be the first tournament for Charleston of the 2024 season, and the second consecutive tournament they've competed in hosted by the Golden Knights.

How It Happened
Lucia Martin would lead the way for Charleston as she finished her two-round weekend +8 after shooting an 80 in her first round and an even 72 on the second day. Her 32 holes would be good enough for a 6
th place finish out of the 61-player pool.
Ines Fernandez had a great start to the weekend after shooting a two-birdie first round, finishing her day +4. Fernandez would follow up the next day with another pair of birdies on Hole 8 and Hole 12, but would bogey 9 holes throughout the round and finished her weekend +14, placing her in a three-way tie for the 12
th spot on the individual leaderboard.
It would be back-to-back +35 days for the Golden Eagles for a total of +70 for their weekend score. Northern Michigan led the pack after the first day with a +23 overall score, but would fall one stroke short to Franklin Pierce University the following day.
