How It Happened
Charleston came out firing, opening the game on a 7–0 run highlighted by five quick points from Harper Annarino. The Golden Eagles' offense clicked early, with seven different players scoring in the first quarter. A late layup from Noelle Polanco capped the period and pushed UC's lead to 18. The momentum continued into the second quarter. UC maintained control and stretched the lead to 21 after Ksenija Mitrić was fouled on a three-pointer and converted all three free throws. However, Glenville State responded with a surge of its own, catching fire from beyond the arc. The Pioneers cut into the deficit, but Charleston still held a 54–42 advantage at halftime.

Charleston regained rhythm to start the third quarter. Annarino drilled a three, and Paris Stokes added a fast-break layup to reestablish a comfortable margin. The Golden Eagles kept the lead around 15 throughout the period and entered the final frame in control. Glenville State made a push early in the fourth, trimming the lead to nine with six minutes remaining. But Livia O'Dea took over down the stretch. She scored 11 of Charleston's final 15 points, hitting a three, a jumper, a layup, and four free throws to seal the victory.

Annarino (22 points, 13 rebounds) and Bridget Womber (12 points, 15 rebounds) dominated the interior, each recording a double-double. O'Dea added an efficient 21 points to lead the late charge.
