Erie, Pa. – The Golden Eagles closed out their 2025 season in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Quarterfinal, falling 3–0 to East Stroudsburg inside the Highmark Events Center.

How it Happened:
The Warriors set the tone early in set one, building a steady lead behind a five-point run that pushed the score to 12-6. Multiple three-point bursts extended the advantage, and ESU reached the 20-point mark ahead of UC 20-10. That momentum carried them through the remainder of the frame as the Warriors claimed set one 25-13.
Set two was a much tighter battle. After trailing 18-10, the Golden Eagles responded with a five-point run to climb back within 18-15. UC later cut the deficit to just one at 20-19, but a critical closing push from ESU sealed the set. The Warriors scored the final five points to take set two 25-19 and go ahead 2–0.
With a reverse sweep needed to extend the season, Charleston entered set three under pressure. ESU once again controlled the early tempo and held the lead throughout. Down 23-17 late, UC made one final surge with a four-point run to pull within 23-21. The Warriors, however, secured the last two points to close the match 25-21, ending a strong Charleston season.
Offensive Leaders
Patrycja Majos led the attack with 11 kills, while Divine Muo and Sophia Knowles each added eight in a balanced UC offense. Abby Avila directed the offense with 31 assists, and Fortner contributed two service aces from the service line.
Defensive Leaders
Chloe Fortner anchored the back row with eight digs, while Knowles added four total blocks at the net. The Golden Eagles also saw defensive contributions across the lineup as they battled throughout the match.

Charleston closes the 2025 campaign with a 23–13 overall record, an 11–4 mark in MEC play, and the 2025 MEC Championship. The Golden Eagles also collected multiple individual conference honors and delivered one of the program's strongest seasons in recent years.
