Box Score Charleston edged at No. 14 California (PA), 23–19
Charleston fell 23–19 on the road at No. 14 California (PA) Thursday night at Adamson Stadium. California built a 10–0 lead in the first quarter before Cale Barringer answered with a 98-yard kickoff return to make it 10–7. Early in the second, Ean Hamric capped a 97-yard drive with a 2-yard score to put UC ahead 13–10, but a 40-yard field goal tied it 13–13 and a 76-yard punt return gave the Vulcans a 20–13 halftime edge. California added a 40-yard field goal late in the third for 23–13, and Charleston closed the gap when Hamric hit Marquan Herron for a 33-yard touchdown with 1:13 left in the quarter; the two-point rush was stopped. The fourth quarter was scoreless. Final: 23–19.
