Connor Hartwell completed his second season as an Assistant Coach at the University of Charleston in Fall 2025, after spending the two seasons prior representing the program as a player.
The program went undefeated in the 2025 regular season for the first time since 2018 and lifted both the MEC regular season and the MEC tournament trophy, before making the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA National Tournament. In 2025, Hartwell was a part of the staff that was named the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year.Â
In Fall 2024 in his first season as an Assistant, Hartwell was a part of a coaching staff that led the program to the NCAA National Championship game, narrowly losing out 3-2. On the way, the team picked up the MEC Regular Season Championship, the MEC Tournament Trophy, and the Super Region I Title.
During his time as a player, the Romford, England native won 2 MEC regular season titles and 2 MEC post season tournament titles, captaining the side to one of each.Â
Connor graduated with his Bachelor's degree in 2022 from West Virginia Wesleyan College and then completed his Master of Science in Strategic Leadership with honors at UC in Fall 2023. He is now in the midst of undertaking a second Master of Science in Business and Data Analytics.
He has an English FA Level One Coaching License and his USSF D License.
