Louisa DiSi will be entering her fourth year as the Athletic Communications Director where she is responsible for compiling in game statistics, designing pre- and post-game graphics, writing game recaps, and numerous other game day tasks for all 19 of Charleston's athletic programs. Prior to her role in Athletic Communications, DiSi served as the Director of Athletic Facilities for the 2021-2022 school year. During that time, DiSi was responsible for the University Fitness Center as well as he day-to-day upkeep of all athletic facilities. DiSi was also the primary athletic communications contact for Softball, Men's Tennis, and Women's Tennis.
Prior to her time spent in Facilities and Athletic Communications, DiSi served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Golden Eagles softball squad. During her last season as a coach in 2021, Charleston finished with a 30-14 overall record and 23-9 in the Mountain East Conference. UC earned four All MEC First Team selections and two NFCA Atlantic Region selections in 2021.
In her first season under Kimberly Stiles, the Golden Eagle's season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the shortened season, Charleston tallied a 14-2 record and found themselves ranked in the Top-25 before the end of the season. The start to the 2020 season was the best in program history. DiSi, a former collegiate pitcher, helped the Golden Eagle pitching staff achieve a 1.52 ERA, good for 8th in the country.
DiSi played softball for four years at three different institutions. During her freshman year at Miami Dade College and her sophomore year at Northwest Florida State, DiSi earned first team all-conference both seasons. During her junior year while at Young Harris College the Mountain Lions made their first ever super regional appearance. During her senior season DiSi received second team all PBC recognition as a pitcher. At this time, YHC made its first ever Division II National Championship appearance where they finished fourth overall, ending with a season high record of 44-20.
DiSi graduated from Young Harris College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, DiSi also holds a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Charleston.
