Jacquie is a life-long West Virginia resident. She has spent most of her life in Kanawha County where she has been involved in all levels of cheer as a cheerleader and coach. She is currently the ID special needs teacher at John Adam's Middle School. Brown has spent her career in the classroom as a teacher in the Kanawha Valley for the last 40 years. Within those 40 years, Brown has built up her resume as a performance coach in the fields of speech, drama, and cheer, directing camps designed to enrich the skills of young performers in the Kanawha Valley area.
The Bob Jones University alum cheered in all of her secondary years of school and brings a great deal of experience to the Capital City having coached at all levels, as well. Brown continues to be involved with the community youth in Charleston with camps hosted by the Golden Eagles cheer squad.
Brown is energetic and has recruited an extremely large, talented squad both seasons she has coached at the University of Charleston.
"I'm very excited to coach at the University of Charleston as I bring a lot of performance presentation expertise to the job. I enjoy mostly working with young adults to use their cheer talent and expertise to help them pay for an amazing education at the University of Charleston so that they can enter their work field confident and a complete Boss Babe or Beau. Each of my squad members have strengths that are combined to form a presentation that will represent UC spirit and pride in a wonderful package for each game and event!”
Coach Brown resides in Ripley with her husband, Gary and their beloved dog, Penelope. She is the proud mother of Philip, an IT business owner in Glenn Allen, Virginia, and Kalie, a doctor at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Her pride and joy are her two grandchildren, Scott and Josephine. Mimi is her favorite title!
