Kasey Ferguson, originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina in 2014. There she found her passion for athletic training while taking on the rigors of being a student-athlete on the women’s soccer team. She then performed a 6-month certified internship at North Carolina State University providing athletic training services for the men’s soccer team. Following her internship, Kasey became a graduate assistant athletic trainer at NCSU. She provided athletic training services for both the men’s soccer team & the women’s tennis team while completing her Masters in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management in 2017.

Kasey has become certified in Level 1 Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restriction therapy, Total Motion Release, and many more therapies to help her athletes.

Kasey is in her third year as the Head Athletic Trainer but ninth year overall at UC. She provides athletic training coverage and serves as an adjunct instructor in the Exercise Science Program.

Kasey resides in Charleston with her husband, infant daughter, and rescued dog, Luka.
