Madeline Huffman

Madeline Huffman joins the coaching staff following a decorated five-year playing career at
Fairmont State University, where she established herself as a knowledgeable and accomplished
point guard. Primarily focused on guard play, she excelled in ball handling, passing, shooting,
offensive reads, and decision-making while consistently serving as one of the team's top
playmakers. During her career, she helped lead the Falcons to back-to-back Mountain East
Conference championships in 2023–24 and 2024–25, including the first NCAA Tournament
appearance and victory in program history. As a graduate student in 2024–25, she served as a
team captain, earned MEC All-Tournament Team honors, and led the Falcons with 104 assists.
She previously led the team with 164 assists during the 2023–24 championship season.

Following her playing career, Huffman served as a Graduate Assistant for Fairmont State
Women's Basketball during the 2025–26 season. In that role, she focused on guard
development—refining skill work, perimeter shooting, and high-level decision-making. She also
tracked in-game statistics, assisted with film breakdown, designed practice and workout plans,
served as a practice player, coordinated team meals, and managed the program's social media
accounts. Her experience as both a player and graduate assistant gives her a comprehensive
understanding of the game from both sides of the bench.

A native of Marietta, Ohio, Huffman earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a
minor in Psychology, as well as a master's degree in Healthcare Management, from Fairmont
State University. She was recognized throughout her playing career for her academic
excellence, earning Academic All-MEC, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District,
and Division II ADA Academic Achievement honors.

As a coach, Madeline brings enthusiasm, passion, and a commitment to player development,
with the goal of helping young women grow into strong leaders both on and off the court. She is
engaged to Noah Canterbury and is the daughter of Nicole and Michael. She has five
siblings—Leslie, Grant, Evan, Cole, and Cale—and is the proud owner of two dogs, Sadie and
