Paul Caliari begins his second semester with the Athletic Communications department in the fall of 2025. Prior to this role, he served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Golden Eagles men's soccer team in 2023. That fall, the team achieved a 19-2 overall record and a 13-1 mark in the Mountain East Conference. The Golden Eagles claimed the 2023 MEC regular season title and the MEC Tournament Championship, before advancing to the National Sweet 16. UC earned ten All-MEC Team selections, six D2CCA Atlantic Region honors, and five United Soccer Coaches All-American accolades.
Paul played collegiate soccer for four years at two different schools. He began his career at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, competing in the NJCAA for two seasons. During this time, Paul appeared in 28 games and earned All-Region IX Second Team honors. He then transferred to the University of Charleston, where he played 28 games over his final two seasons. In 2022, he was named All-MEC Honorable Mention. That season, the UC team finished with a 20-2 overall record and a 15-1 conference record, securing both the regular season and tournament titles. UC advanced to the Division II Elite 8 and concluded the season ranked #5 nationally.
Paul played USL2 for three seasons, representing Flatirons Rush in 2022, North Carolina Fusion in 2023, and FC Tucson in 2024. During the 2023 season, North Carolina Fusion secured the South Atlantic Division title with a 11-3-2 record. In 2024, Paul helped FC Tucson achieve Western Conference Champions status and reach their first-ever USL2 Final Four appearance.
Pursuing a second Master’s Degree in strategic leadership, Paul previously received a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Business from the University of Charleston.
