University of Charleston Athletics

Lucas enters her second season as an assistant coach with the University of Charleston softball program ahead of the 2027 season. She joined the Golden Eagles coaching staff following a successful four-year playing career at Marshall University, where she was a four-year starter and key contributor for the Thundering Herd.

In her first season on staff, Lucas helped guide the Golden Eagles to a 47-18 overall record while contributing to all aspects of the program, including player development and game preparation.

During her time at Marshall, Lucas appeared in 187 games with 169 starts, primarily at first base. She finished her career with a .305 batting average, 149 hits, 34 home runs, and more than 120 RBIs. In her senior season, she posted a .322 batting average with a career-best 55 hits and 15 home runs. She was also recognized for her academic achievements, earning NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors and being named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll multiple times.

Lucas brings a player-centered coaching philosophy, strong leadership, and a commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes both on and off the field.

Lucas earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Marshall University.
