VIENNA, W.Va. - Kyle McCarty (Cincinnati, OH / Anderson) scored a goal in the 73rd minute to tie the game and Ryan Osborne (Wakefield, England / St. Wilfrid's) scored the game winner in the 86th minute as the University of Charleston defeated Ohio Valley 4-3 in men's soccer Tuesday evening in Vienna.

Rob Vincent (Liverpool, England / Prescot) and Eddie Mangan (Edinburgh, Scotland / Coastal Carolina) also scored for the Golden Eagles (12-3-1), while Dion Peters (Trincity, Trinidad / EL Dorado Secondary) had one assist. Sean Teepen (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) notched three saves.

For the Fighting Scots (4-12-1), Roberto Jofra scored two goals and Danny Frenandez scored one. Nick Pecarski had three assists, while Spender Widlicka stopped 12 shots.

The Golden Eagles moved up to No. 13 in the NCAA Division II poll. With wins over Shepherd and Alderson-Broaddus last week, the Golden Eagles clinched the regular-season West Virginia Conference title and home field advantage throughout the WVC playoffs set to begin next week.

Charleston closes out the regular season on the road at Bluefield College on Thursday, October 28 at 7:00 pm.
