Women's Basketball Whips Wheeling Jesuit

CHARLESTON, W.VA. - Lindsey Kentner scored 22 points to lead five players in double figures as the University of Charleston took care of Wheeling Jesuit 87-67 in a West Virginia Conference women's basketball matchup at Eddie King Gym in Charleston.

Tarenna Dixon chipped in 18 points and nine rebounds, Ali Tobias had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists and Kaitlyn Arick had 11 points and four boards for the Golden Eagles (9-5, 6-3), who shot 53.2 percent from the field.

UC's Tianna Beatty pitched in 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

"We had a great first half,'' said UC coach Sherry Winn. "Everything was going our way. We had easy lauyups [and] we were making incredible passes. I thought it was just a great team game. As a unit we played well.''

Cassy Sanderson netted 22 points for the Cardinals (5-7, 4-3).
