CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston men’s soccer coach Chad Duernberger announced the addition of transfer Eddie Mangan, a central midfielder from Division I Coastal Carolina, to the Golden Eagle’s 2010 recruiting class.
“We are pleased to bring Eddie in to finish out his career with our soccer family,” Duernberger stated. “He brings depth to our central midfield which allows us to have versatility in our possible formations for 2010.”
Mangan, the Scottish national, saw action in eight matches for Coastal Carolina during the 2009 campaign. He also attended Potomac State for two seasons before attending Coastal and was a two-time All-Region honoree.
The addition brings UC’s recruiting class to 13 headed in the fall season. “We are very happy to pick up a player of Eddie’s caliber so late into the recruiting season.” Mangan finishes out the roster as Charleston’s only senior for 2010.
