Hintz Garners Player Of The Week Honor

PRINCETON, W. Va. –  Adam Hintz (Sharon, Canada ) has been named the WVIAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the league office after helping the University of Charleston men's soccer team stay perfect in league play last week.

Hintz, a 6’0” senior defender, tallied three goals for the Golden Eagles on the week, guiding the squad to a 2-0 record and the No. 1 seed in the WVIAC Tournament.

In the win over Wheeling Jesuit, Hintz knotted the score at two with a goal in the 80th minute. He then found the back of the net at the 81:08 mark for the game-winning tally. Hintz blasted home the game-winning goal against West Virginia Wesleyan. In the second overtime period, he took a pass from Rob Vincent and converted it into a score.

The Golden Eagles completed the regular season with a 12-1-3 overall mark and a 9-0 effort in league action.
