CHARLESTON, W.Va. - After completing a 13-1-4 campaign that ended in the their fourth-straight WVIAC title the University of Charleston men's soccer squad was rewarded with a home contest to open NCAA Tournament play.
UC was named the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Region of the tournament to draw a match against No. 3 seed and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion Mercyhurst (14-5-1). The match will be the second of the season between the two teams as the Golden Eagles faced off against the Lakers earlier this season with the game ending in a scoreless tie.
NCAA Tournament play for Charleston is set to begin on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 pm with the contest slated for Shoenbaum Stadium.
In the other Atlantic Region matchup, top-seeded Gannon (12-5-0) goes against the pesky WVIAC runner-up Davis & Elkins (14-3-2) at 1:00 pm on Sunday, Nov. 11.
