BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - The Golden Eagles traveled to Buckhannon for an evening match against the Lady Bobcats. UC would score the lone goal of the match in the eleventh minute to secure a 1-0 Mountain East Conference win.

Freshman Ivey Nucilli (Fairmont, WV) received a ball on the flank in the final third and would beat the outside defender to the end line near the far corner. Nucilli served a flighted ball inside the Bobcats six yard box where senior goalkeeper Lauren Dalton would manage to deflect the ball back into the center of play. Junior Isabella Jaffin (Nescopeck, PA) would collect the ball, remain composed, take a touch to her right and bury the ball into the Lady Bobcat goal. 

Jaffin's goal would prove to be the game winner and move Charleston into second place in the MEC standings.
 
Wesleyan would outshoot Charleston 22/4 on the day. UC managed to defend well in the final third led by captain Amanda McKee (Mechanicsburg, PA). Freshman, Zoe Zyta (Listowel, Ontario) staged another stellar performance recording eight saves and her second clean sheet for the week.

UC will travel to Notre Dame for a 1pm kickoff in South Euclid, OH on Tuesday.
