CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team won their Senior Night match against Notre Dame University in four sets Friday evening. The scores were 25-22, 15-25,25-20, and 25-21. The Golden Eagles honored seniors
Julie Samogala (Delaware, OH),
Clairissa Larry (University Heights, OH), and
Keely Latham (Gardnerville, NV).
UC was led by freshman
Payton Logan (Brentwood, TN), with 11 kills, 27 digs, two blocks, and three aces. Senior Claire Larry followed with 10 kills and four blocks.
Randi Estrada (Keaau, HI) also showed up with nine kills and two blocks.
Notre Dame was led by Angela Bush with seven kills. Shea Thayer has an impressive five blocks, and Tawnia Almaraz earned 21 digs against UC.
The Golden Eagles have qualified for the MEC tournament later this week at Wheeling Jesuit University. Match time and opponent have yet to be determined.
