CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston men's volleyball team gets their first win of the season tonight against Bluefield College.Â
The Golden Eagles got a dominate win against the Rams in the first set, winning 25 – 11 behind the offense of Rajahl Moxey and Ryan Santos who had 3 kills each and the aggressive serving of Anthony Rivera who had 3 aces, Krzysztof Zieba who had 2 aces and Rajahl Moxey who had 1 ace.Â
In set 2 the Rams offense woke up, however, the Golden Eagles were still able to pull out the win 25 – 21. In set 2 Rajahl Moxey led the way both on offense with 4 kills and with his serve racking up 3 aces.Â
Set 3 looked almost the same as set 2, with the Golden Eagles winning 25 – 22 with Brian Cranston leading the way offensively with 4 kills. Defensively, Carl Lenling had 6 digs and Indy Nenn had 5 digs keeping the Golden Eagles on top.Â
The University of Charleston men's volleyball team plays again tomorrow at Lees-McRae and then again on Saturday against Division 1, George Mason at home.
