CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Golden Eagles men's volleyball team picked up their second win of their inaugural campaign Friday evening at Eddie King Gym defeating the visiting North Greenville University Crusaders in four sets.
UC (2-5) was led by
Rajahl Moxey's 17 kills to pace Charleston's offensive attack and 11 digs on defense.
Anthony Rivera provided 53 of 57 assists on kills by the Golden Eagles and added three blocks to his stat line. Â
North Greenville (1-7) got 12 kills each from Matthew McManaway and Curtis Westra to lead the Crusaders offense.
In a very even matchup Charleston fell behind early in set one before rallying late in the match to take the first 30-28. Â NGU evened the match at 1-1 by taking the second 25-23. Â The Golden Eagles weren't going to be denied victory this evening though and pushed through in sets three and four to take the match 3-1.
