Charleston, W. Va. - The University of Charleston's Women's Volleyball team took on and defeated Urbana University in three sets Friday night at the Charleston Catholic High School Athletic Complex.
The first set the Golden Eagles took and held a strong lead, finishing the set 25-12. The second set Urbana responded starting strong, but UC ultimately won 25-20. The last set the two teams battled back and forth, with the Golden Eagles taking the game 27-25.UC was led by freshman Mia Herrod (Chicago, IL), with 16 kills and three blocks. Randi Estrada (Keaau, HI) also showed up adding 11 kills. Shiann White (Thatcher, AZ) had eight kills and three aces.
Urbana was led by Katlynn Dunlap with 16 kills.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Tuesday evening, at King University.
