CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston scored 35 unanswered points to roll to a 65-21 win over the visiting West Virginia Wesleyan College Bobcats on a cool fall Thursday evening at University of Charleston Stadium.
UC, currently ranked third in the first installment of the NCAA regional rankings, improve their overall and conference record to 8-1 with two games remaining on their schedule. The Golden Eagles are looking for their first NCAA postseason appearance in school history, and with two wins over the next two weeks, it seems likely that Charleston could be hosting a first round game.
Jeremy Johnson continued his outstanding season at quarterback by setting a record for passing yards in a single game, eclipsing the old mark of 286 yards and became the first player to throw for over 300 yards with 301. He also threw for four scores to four different receivers in the route over Wesleyan.
Rashawn Dickerson led UC receivers with six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.

D'Andre Brooks each hauled in a TD for the Golden Eagles.
Charleston exploded for 559 yards of total offense, gaining 258 on the ground to go with Johnson's record setting day. Four different Golden Eagles scored a rushing TD on the night, led by
Marvin Elam and
Jermaine Kelly who each rushed for over 90 yards and a score.
Kane Roush and
Greg Bender added the other rushing touchdowns for Charleston.
Charleston goes out of conference next game to host Alderson Broaddus University on Saturday, November 7
th with kickoff slated for noon. Charleston will recognize their departing seniors in a pregame on-field presentation just before kickoff.
