Charleston W.Va. - The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team defeated UVA-Wise for their senior night celebration match. UVA-Wise came out strong in the first set, winning 25-22. However, they were unable to keep up their momentum and lost the next three sets to the Golden Eagles, by the scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-21.UC was led by Jordan Wittekind with 12 kills and four blocks. Mia Herrod earned 10 kills, and six blocks. Celebrated senior, Randi Estrada, had 10 kills earning a .467 hitting percentage to along with four blocks. Fellow honored senior's Melissa Reyes added three kills and 21 assists while McKensie Milam supplied 14 digs.
The Cavaliers were led by Karley Allen with a match high 16 kills and 23 digs. Ciara Kain followed with 11 kills.
UC will be traveling to Athens, W.Va. Saturday Evening to take on Concord University.
